Australian Academy of Science Women in Chemistry Forum

Three senior women in international science will come together for a short public seminar in Parliament House to explore their lives, work and passions.

Join senior women in international science to celebrate the International Year of Chemistry and hear about their lives, work and passions.

Professor Carol Robinson is an internationally-renowned chemist who worked her way up from lab assistant after originally leaving school in year 10. She is visiting Australia soon after winning one of the most prestigious medals for chemistry in the world, the Davy Medal, for her ground-breaking use of mass spectrometry to explore large proteins.

Australian Academy of Science President Professor Suzanne Cory is a medical researcher and one of Australia’s most distinguished scientists.

They will be joined for presentations and a panel discussion by Professor Margaret Sheil, also a distinguished chemist, is the CEO of the Australian Research Council.
