PACCON 2011 will provide a timely forum and bring together researchers and developers from all over the world to review, discuss, and disseminate their ideas and researches which address diverse issues related to chemistry and technology applications in the context of sustainable development to promote the quality of life.

Pure and Applied Chemistry International Conference (PACCON 2011) will be held during January 5-7, 2011 at the Miracle Grand Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand, with a theme of “Sustainable Development: from Basic to Applied Chemistry.”

PACCON 2011 aims to provide a timely forum and bring together researchers and developers of pure and applied chemistry from all over the world to review, discuss, and disseminate their ideas and researches which address diverse issues related to chemistry and technology applications in the context of sustainable development, and a novel global knowledge to promote the quality of life.  The conference engages itself in the celebration of the International Year of Chemistry named by IUPAC for the year 2011 to increase the public appreciation and understanding of Chemistry.  It also joins the celebration of the 100th Anniversary of Marie Curie’s receipt of the Nobel Prize for chemistry to honor women in Science.  Moreover, it passionately pursues the spirit of collaboration and exchanges the experience and knowledge at all levels.

The PACCON 2011 program covers all areas of chemistry and chemistry-related disciplines, which comprises the following:

  • Keynote Speaker/Plenary Lectures
  • Contributed Talks on the Following Topics:

Analytical Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Organic Chemistry and Medicinal Chemistry, Physical and Theoretical Chemistry, Material Science and Nanotechnology, Biological/Biophysical Chemistry and Chemical Biology, Bio/Cheminformatics, Polymer Chemistry, Petroleum Chemistry and Catalysis, Environmental Chemistry, Chemical Education, Cosmetics, Industrial Chemistry and Innovation, and Food Safety.

Important Dates:
Abstract submission deadline:  September 30, 2010.
Early Registration: before  November 15, 2010.

Participants can find out all details about PACCON 2011 from the conference website at http://paccon2011.swu.ac.th.

I would like to discuss some very basic problems in learning Bohr's theory of hydrogen atom. This is very important for physics and chemistry, both. For details, read my "activity" of 19th November 2010 on this site.
