The theme of the lecture will be chemical energy, with plenty of it! Whether in the form of light or sound, there will be chemical colours and energetic explosions to enthuse and excite the audience. Performed by Dr Pete Licence and Mr Jim Gamble.

Performed by Dr. Pete Licence and Mr Jim Gamble, the theme of the lecture will be chemical energy, with plenty of it! Whether in the form of light or sound, there will be chemical colours and energetic explosions to enthuse and excite the audience. Some are certainly demonstrations that cannot be performed in a school environment. Therefore, it is necessary to give warning that there will be at least one very loud bang during the lecture. Although it spoils the surprise a little, clear warning is given to the audience in advance of these noises occurring. This lecture is great fun, but we would advise you that it may be unsuitable for those of a nervous disposition or with a heart condition, and not suitable for children under 7.

Topic: celebrating chemistry, demonstrations Audience: general public, students, secondary schools students
