Green Chemistry Book Translated in Thai

To meet the goals of IYC2011 under the theme “Chemistry- our life, our future”, Green Chemistry is a key of success!. Now, the book entitled, "Green Chemistry: Theory and Practice" is the first time translated in Thai.
According to the 11th National Economic and Social Development Plan of Thailand, directed to the Green Economics, it is a need to provide the understanding in Green Chemistry to the public. The Chemical Society of Thailand under the Patronage of Professor Dr. Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn has then seeked for the official permission from Oxford University Press to translate the book, entitled “Green Chemistry: Theory and Practice” written by Paul Anastas and John Warner, into Thai. Now, the 1000 printed books, 140 pages (ISBN 978-974-350-490-7) have been disseminated to the academic institutes and public at free of charge. This book was translated by Associate Professor Dr.Supawan Tantayanon, the President of the Chemical Society of Thailand and Assistant Professor Dr. Korbratna Kriausakul. Both translators are academic staffs of the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, Chulalongkorn University.
