The Gamma Chapter of Alpha Chi Sigma will be doing fun and educational, interactive scientific demonstrations geared towards the young and the young at heart.
The members of the Gamma Chapter of the Alpha Chi Sigma fraternity will be doing demonstrations at Cleveland's Great Lakes Science Center (601 Erieside Ave; Cleveland, OH 44114) from 12PM to 3PM.
The demonstrations will incorporate age appropriate explanations of the phenomena observed.
Included in the demonstrations will be polymer chemistry through the synthesis of a cross-linked polymer using white glue and borax, changes of phase using dry ice, separations of colloids using surfactants with milk and soap, among other experiments.
This event is for educating the youth on things around them related to chemistry and also is designed to inspire an interest and fascination of chemistry.
