We hosted a breakfast to celebrate and promote women women in chemistry on January 18th from 7 am in the CSIRO Ian Wark laboratory, Bayview Ave, Clayton, Victoria. Women at all stages in their career attended.
Breakfast was available from 7am on January 18th 2011, for women in all areas of chemistry in Melbourne. The breakfast was held in the Ian Wark laboratory at the Clayton site of CSIRO.
A short informal program of guest speakers began at 8am:
8am - Jenny Sharwood (Chemistry educator and author, Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering)
8.15am - Kathryn Harrison (IP Manager at Phosphogenics Ltd. Melbourne)
8.30am - Prof Frances Separovic (Head, School of Chemistry, University of Melbourne)
8.45 - 9am - Hook up with other breakfasts by Skype
