The Chemistry in my Life

Join us in demonstrations and hands-on activities for general public, showing the way that chemical basic principles are present in daily life. Lets playing like a spy, a chef, a physician or like a scientific researcher. Take part of two funny scientific sundays.

To stress the importance of chemistry in our daily activities, a group of young graduated and postgraduated chemistry students will encourage the participation of general public in easy chemistry demonstrations and hands-on activities. Any level students as well as their parents, will become familiar with the influence of the chemistry in our life and our future. General public will participate in demonstrations and will learn the chemical basic principles behind the cooking tips, treatments for intoxications, the pressure effects in life as well as notions for accident prevention . The visitors of "Alameda del Sur" could participate in hands-on activities for hair styling or antibacterial gel as well as “invisible ink” fabrication.

Participants will present some cosmetic, for cleaning and personal cleanliness products -they have obtained-, showing the opportunity that chemistry provides to implement economical activities.

The event will take place in: Kiosko de Alameda del Sur. Eje 2 Ote. (Av. de Miramontes) esq. Calz. de las Bombas, Coyoacán, México, D.F.
