Career Cafe

Employee volunteers from the sponsoring companies will network with high school students during the National Chemistry Week celebration at the Carnegie Science Center in Pittsburgh, PA, USA. Students will have the opportunity to learn about the exciting careers chemistry has to offer.

During the celebration of National Chemistry Week at the Carnegie Science Center in Pittsburgh, PA, USA, on Friday, October 2, five local chemical companies will join together to provide local high school students insight into the world of chemistry careers. At our Career Cafe, employee volunteers - many of whom will be women - from LANXESS Corporation, NOVA Chemicals, Bayer Corporation, PPG and BASF will network with sutdents to share their own educational and career paths.

Students will view exhibits of products from each company, providing a glimpse of the impact chemistry has on our lives everyday. Many of the products will communicate the innovative way chemistry is used to solve many of the challenges facing the world today.
