This activity will show how to obtain light by means of chemical reactions based on luminiscent phenomena and pyrotechnics reactions
A training video about the chemical pyrotechnics will be displayed. Luminescent phenomena and some of its applications in forensic chemistry will then be explained. After this, the chemical reactions occurring in some pyrotechnic devices (flares) and their interest in forensic chemistry will be explained.
