The most important event related to synthetic chemistry and NMR spectroscopy in Finland gathers the Finnish specialists and students together to enjoy the talks given by numerous international experts in the areas of catalytic asymmetric synthesis as well as chiral and solid state NMR, and to present their own work.

The Combined XII Spring Meeting of the Division of Synthetic Chemistry and XXXIII Finnish NMR Symposium, Spa Hotel Rantasipi Laajavuori, Jyväskylä, Finland, June 7th-10th 2011. The Division of Synthetic Chemistry and the Finnish NMR Discussion Group (FiD) of the Association of Finnish Chemical Societies will organize in cooperation with Department of Chemistry of University of Jyväskylä The Combined XII Spring Meeting of the Division of Synthetic Chemistry and XXXIII Finnish NMR Symposium in the Spa Hotel Rantasipi Laajavuori, Jyväskylä, on June 7th-10th 2011. Due to the International Year of Chemistry numerous international specialists in the areas of catalytic asymmetric synthesis as well as chiral and solid state NMR have been invited to give a speech in the conference. These include: Prof. David MacMillan (Princeton), Prof. Takashi Ooi (Nagoya), Prof. Anthony P. Davis (Bristol), Prof. Ruth Gschwind (Regensburg), Prof. Olivier Baudoin (Lyon), Prof. Ricardo Riguera (Santiago de Compostela), Prof. Mattias Edén (Stockholm), Prof. Sota Sato (Tokyo), Dr. Dick Sandström (Solna), and Prof. Radek Marek (Masaryk University, Brno). Moreover, Finnish specialists working in the areas of synthetic chemistry and NMR spectroscopy will give lectures. Poster sessions and diverse social program are an essential part of the conference as well. Additional information can be found on the www-pages of the conference: http://syn-nmr2011.jyu.fi/.
