Tbilisi State University (Tbilisi, Georgia) holds an annual Summer Science Academy for students from grades 7 through 12. The goal of the Summer Science Academy is to introduce and enlighten students in the interdisciplinary world of the natural science, showing them the fundamental and applied aspects of science.
The Summer Science Academy will be held daily from 9 am to 2 pm from June 21st until July 1st of 2011. The program will include interactive lectures instructed by professors, researchers, and college students. The activities, experiments, and demonstrations will focus on the environment, energy, materials, and health. The Summer Science Academy will incorporate the IYC Global Water Experiment. The Experiment has just been officially launched at an event in South Africa.
Chemists are welcome to contribute with lectures or demonstrations during the event. Unfortunately, because of the lack of funding, we are not able to offer you anything other than the awareness that your cooperation will make a difference. We are looking forward to hearing from you by April 30.
