An issue showcasing the very best research from scientists in the early stages of their independent career

ChemComm issue 1 2011 will be an Emerging Investigators issue, designed to showcase the very best research from scientists in the early stages of their independent career.

Members of the ChemComm Editorial and Advisory Boards were asked to suggest names of principal investigators whose work has the potential to influence future directions in chemistry and play a key role in conquering the challenges faced by mankind. The response to the letters of invitations was overwhelming and we are delighted to be able to feature outstanding research from emerging investigators across the globe.

The issue will be widely promoted at international conferences throughout 2011, bringing the work of the emerging investigators to the attention of the wide readership of ChemComm and the chemistry community at large. We are also listing the advance articles on the ChemComm website (www.rsc.org/chemcomm) as soon as they are published. We hope that by highlighting the achievements of these emerging scientists, this issue will both serve to further their careers and inspire other young people to strive for scientific success in their own careers.

Topic: celebrating chemistry, chemistry, publications Audience: students, professional chemists, emerging investigators, research scientists, post graduate students, graduate students
