Separations for Biotechnology 2011
Midland Hotel, Manchester, UK
27 April - 29 April 2011
Organised by SCI’s Separation Science and Technology Group and IChemE’s Biochemical Engineering Subject Group
Downstream processes used in the manufacture of biologicals have relied on a series of orthogonal steps to effect a high degree of purification. With recent developments in ligand design, base matrices and the introduction of novel platforms or disruptive technologies the more established techniques in chromatography have been augmented with new, state of the art downstream technologies. With the QbD philosophy gaining universal acceptance the need for high throughput process development with rapid online process analytics is gaining momentum. The symposia themes will be:
- High throughput product development and analytics
- Advanced separations technologies
- Process integration
- Innovative process control
- Optimization of process economics
- Single use processing technologies
- Improved formulation technologies
The purpose of this meeting is to bring together leading companies and academics to provide an insight into these areas of downstream processing and to report on new technologies for the manufacture of biologicals. The conference should benefit both experts and novices in downstream processing alike who are keen to consider all options available when considering new or improved downstream processes.
Call for PapersPlease submit A4 or letter abstracts to conferences@soci.org stating whether you prefer an oral or poster presentation along with the corresponding symposia theme.
Deadline for abstracts: Friday 29 October 2010
Sponsorship and Exhibition
