Event Description

"Hydrogen-Metal Systems" offers its international participants a broad spectrum of cutting-edge hydrogen research results in the uniquely interactive atmosphere of a Gordon Research Conference. It has a 30 year history as an excellent forum for bringing together experienced scientists, junior scientists and graduate students in a uniquely open environment. The conference is primarily composed of attendees giving invited talks or presenting posters. All presentations including the ensuing discussions are taken as private, with the restriction that the given information is not for public use. There are no parallel sessions, so attendees will hear every invited talk. Posters on highly-topical and primarily unpublished results are presented and open for discussion in the evenings. A limited number of poster presenters will have the option of presenting a short oral summary of their poster before their respective session. Networking, group discussions, and informal one-on-one interactions are encouraged during free afternoons and meal periods. The 2013 Conference on Hydrogen-Metal Systems with focus on "Hydrogen Interactions in Energy Storage" addresses research topics such as: Status of hydrogen interactions for energy storage Metal hydride batteries Thermal energy storage Complex and interstitial hydrides, including AB2, AB5, BCC Physisorption Fundamentals and nanoconfinement New methods and characterization H-storage systems and modeling of H-M thermodynamics and reaction pathways Sensors Attendance preference is given to presenters, with the aim of attracting a diversity of researchers and research interests in the field of hydrogen interactions. The 2013 the Hydrogen-Metals GRC is proud to continue the Gordon Research Seminar (GRS) on hydrogen prior to the GRC conference. Students and Post Doctoral associates are highly encouraged to visit the Hydrogen-Metal Systems (GRS) program page for more information on this excellent opportunity.
