About:

I studied Biochemistry/Microbiology at university. My third year project was to do with the molecular structure of the Fukutin protein and estabilishing it's relationship to the disease: Fukuyama diease. This project highlighted my interest in molecular structures in a Biological context and relating the structure to its function.

I am now a secondary school/6th form Science teacher. My school in the United Kingdom is partnering with other countries in Europe: Austria, Netherlands, Italy and Ireland - working together on the Comenius Project: Chemistry as a Cultural Enterprise 2010-2012.

It will be a two year project whereby we address different aspects of chemistry and relate them to the culture of our country and compare that to the other countries involved in the project.
