About:
I was a Mathematics teacher for secondary education classes and now I have being work as Project C0-ordinator for Rehabilitation & Implementation of Education Reforms in Plantation Schools (RIERP Project) in Sri Lanka. The Project is funded by Sida and implemented by Provincial Ministry of Education – Tamil of Central Province. In 2008, I have prepared a Project Proposal on Language matters of UNESCO (Learning Languages for Betterment) and successfully implemented in Hatton Education Zone of Central Province in Sri Lanka with the support of Thondaman Memorial Foundation. There are about 833 schools in tea and rubber plantations in Sri Lanka. Due to the lack of educational facilities of these schools, the performances of these schools are far away from satisfactory level. However, efforts made by the Government of Sri Lanka and other international donor organizations such as Sida and GTZ to develop these schools have change the situation in a positive manner. I would like to provide my support to disseminate information related to education through my website along with implementing special projects in a micro level for the social advancement of plantation community in Sri Lanka.
