M.Sc. degree in molecular biology at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan, Poland and Polish Academy of Sciences, Institute of Human Genetics, Poznan.

Scientific visits at the University of Montreal in Canada, Max-Planck Institute in Tübingen, Germany and at the UNESCO International Institute for Cell and Molecular Biology in Warsaw, Poland.

Ph.D. degree in biochemistry at the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Müenster in Germany and the Institute for Molecular Biology of Inflammation, Department of Medical Biochemistry.

Awarded with the European Molecular Biology Organization fellowship and the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council, UK fellowship for the development of original projects in cell and molecular biology at the University College London, UK. The self-developed ideas resulted in new discoveries in mitochondrial physiology and new directions for cancer studies.

Currently developing scientific relations/collaborations in the area of basic sciences between Kenya and Europe.

Interest in the development of joined EU-to-Africa, research-to-business enterprises/programmes. Strong interest in the development of scientific polices leading to joined effective scientific and technological progress via collaborations in critical scientific areas (Chemistry, Biology and Physics).
