About:

The Share Initiative (known as 'TSI') is a not-for-profit organisation specialising in 5 areas: partnerships / learning / heritage / special needs / and international projects. We have led 9 projects for the International Year of Astronomy 2009 - working with children and people of all ages and abilities. This work has included projects in Greece, Poland, Slovakia and Mauritius.

TSI are now keen to develop partnerships with groups in the UK and globally for IYC 2011. We are particularly interested in projects involving:

1) the work of Marie Curie

2) heritage films - celebrating the work of chemists from the past

3) geochemistry - linked to volcanic activity on Earth and other parts of our solar system

4) work with Primary Schools, Special Schools and Older Learners

5) work with visually-impaired and hearing-impaired groups

A film showing our European projects can be viewed on www.the-share-initiative.co.uk

Thank you for your interest

Paul Haley
