in 25 years of teaching [7th Grade Class; 8th Grade Earth Science; 9th Grade Physical Sciences; 10th Grade Biology; 11th Grade Chemistry; 12th Grade Physics; university-level chemistry courses - General Inorganic Chemistry (Lecture & Lab); Organic Chemistry I (Lecture & Lab); Analytical Chemistry (Lecture & Lab); Biochemistry (Lecture and Lab)] I was not able to engage in meaningful research outside the classroom.

This year, I was made aware of the International Year of Chemistry 2011 through your various multi-media campaigns. Hence, this is my chance to engage students to get involved in basic, simple research that will be a major contribution to a global database .

In doing so, students will: (a) will appreciate and understand the scientific methd in chemistry (b) will encourage interest of young people to do active research (3) to create enthusiasm in pursuing a career in chemistry research (4) to show young ladies that women are taking active roles in chemistry research

Tomorrow (Monday 11.07.2011) I have called for a meeting of the Chemical Society of the Adventist University of the Philippines to plan for the Water Assay Project a.s.a.p.
