About:

I'm currently working in a government institution dedicated to biological research. My academic training was specifically related with Chemistry. However, I have been working on topics related to soil microbiology, including bacterial physiology and microbial ecology.

I am also working on a biotechnological project. We are currently working on the optimization of the production of polyhydroxyalkanoates by a heterotrophic bacterial strain, using strategies of metabolic engineering.

I believe that the IYC 2011 is an excellent opportunity to promote this discipline among young people.
