About:

Notesmaster is a free resource for secondary school teachers and students in the Caribbean, particularly those following the Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC) syllabuses. As part of the IYC 2011, Notesmaster is committed to the following goals:

a. Increase the public appreciation of chemistry in meeting world needs and particular in developing areas throughout the Caribbean.

b. Increase the interest of young people in chemistry through greater application of creative multimedia technology to the teaching and learning of chemistry. For example, teachers are able to create engaging chemistry lessons on Notesmaster using text, images, animations and video.

c. Generate enthusiasm for the creative future of chemistry by highlighting its applications in both everyday life and its potential for creating new materials and sustainable sources of food and energy.

d. Promoting the work and achievements of individuals and organisations involved in the field of chemistry, particularly in the Caribbean.

We invite all teachers of chemistry or professionals in the industry to utilise the space on Notesmaster to create exciting content around the chemistry syllabus or submit general ideas related to the application of chemistry in everyday life. What you create on Notesmaster is made freely available to all students and teachers around the Caribbean.
