About:

ECETOC shares a common interest with IYC 2011 in wanting to promote better public understanding of chemistry and encouraging talented young people to choose chemistry-related careers. Among other programmes, we provide a number of annual awards to young scientists.

ECETOC plays a major role in investigating the ecotoxicology and toxicology of chemicals, a role which is rapidly expanding and being drawn centre-stage with developments in cutting-edge fields such as nanotechnology. In the coming year we intend to expand the visibility of our research; a better-informed public is in the interest of all concerned.
