About:
I am the managing editor of a general chemistry journal, owned by the CNRS and published by RSC Publishing (a learned society publisher). We publish original research in all areas of chemistry.
Our Editor-in-Chief, Mir Wais Hosseini, professor at the University of Strasbourg, has organized a short symposium (NJC Symposium, New Directions in Chemistry) for April 2011. Eight speakers, half of which are women, will talk about their research in different areas of chemistry and implications for various areas of concern, such as removal of nuclear waste products, corrosion inhibition, synthesis and chemistry for the life sciences and medicine, molecular machines.
