The UNESCO Centre of Turin (a registered charity) is recognized by UNESCO (United Nations Education Science and Culture Organization) as an international UNESCO Centre, and is an active member of the Italian, European and World Federations of UNESCO Clubs and Centres. The Centre represents UNESCO in the Piedmont region and is a national training body. From 1984, in the area of UNESCO values, the Centre has planned and implemented activities for young people, students of all disciplines and levels and citizens of Italy and other countries, with the aim of promoting the knowledge and application of human rights, facilitating dialogue between cultures and generations
