About:
I am profoundly aware of the role of chemistry in our society and I see myself as an educator - recognising the importance of engaging secondary school students to take on Chemistry for post-16 studies.
My specific interests lay with core chemistry; thermodynamics, organic and inorganic synthesis and polymerisation. I also like and plan to broaden my understanding in other fields such as analytical and industrial chemistry.
In the last few months I have been following lectures, my first visiting Oxford to listen to Dr. Kukura's presentation on femtochemistry, and recently I attended the annual A-level Chemistry Conference at King's College London.
For the upcoming months I plan to celebrate the International Year of Chemistry with a range of presentations, exciting practicals and guest speakers into my college. I have also signed up to represent my college in the RSC Schools Analyst Competition at Kingston University.
I would very much like to share, explore and develop ideas within the community.
