About:

I am teaching Chemistry for about 20 years at Anatolia College of Thessaloniki,Greece.I hold a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry and have a special interest in Green Chemistry. I have made a few presentations in Greek and International Conferences on Green Chemistry and Sustainability and have established two scientific programs for Anatolia College students, that go by the names" Science Saturdays" and" Summer Science" respectively , always including a Green module. Last year i started a green extra- curricular activity ( Go Green Project ) that has 140 students as members. In the span of almost a year we have worked and completed about 10 projects,like the greening of the labs,the introduction of Green Chemistry principles,a workshop on Green polymers, the construction of a chemical based solar cell, the synthesis of soaps, biodiesel and face creams, solar oven construction etc. This effort continues as the students are also exposed to lectures given by distinguished scientists on the fields of alternative energy sources, green chemistry, solar power, greening of the school buildings etc.
