About:

I am affiliated with Universiti Sains Malaysia. As an Associate Professor of Chemistry at the School of Health Sciences, I am teaching several undergraduate level courses to the students of Forensic Science, Biomedicine, Environmental and Occupational Health; Radiation Science, and Nutrition and Dietetics. I have been supervising undergraduate and postgraduate research students in chemical sciences, and overlapping disciplines. I have been actively participating in over 60 national and international conferences, seminars, symposia and short courses. I have acted as a human resource person in several workshops and have trained over 100 personnel from academia, industry and research on lab techniques and analytical instrumentation.

My specific interest is to make the people understand "Chemistry is life and life is chemistry". I am an strong advocate of chemistry and would like that chemistry should be taught at all levels of education and in context to the natural phenomenon, and its involvement in our daily lives.
