"The lives of Marie Curie, a journey through the history of chemistry"
A humoritical and educational project for IYC 2011
Perfect to reach a large public for a long time.
The author Fiami, a 47-year-old who lives in Geneva (Switzerland), is the author and publisher of “The lives of
Marie Curie ”. He is neither a scientist nor a historian, but instead graduated with a degree in architecture and has been building educational comic projects for the past 12 years. To complete “The lives of Marie Curie”, Fiami surround himself with chemists, teachers and historians in order to obtain a true taste of the wonders of the matter.
“The lives of Marie Curie” (2011) follows “The lives of Galileo ” (official comic book of IYA2009, translated in 8 languages around the world) “The lives of Einstein” (2005) and “Tous à l’expo!” (a book published in 2001 about Swiss history). 100,000 copies of his comic books have been translated into and sold in 9 different languages.
TV-shows and exibitions has been realised around Fiami's comics.
This latest instalment, “The lives of Marie Curie,” is already interesting schools and science Institutions like CERN. It will be available in june 2011.
Fiami is interested to sell the rights to local publishers around the world.
