About:

I am a lecturer in inorganic chemistry at the University of Botswana. The inorganic section of chemistry is actually having problems with attracting postgraduate students into its programme and attracting national funding. I will actually use IYC to sensitise students with the subject matter and the contribution of the research that we do to Climate Change, Health Sector, Water Solution and sustainable development. This will be also the opportunity to bring awareness to our leaders so that they can appreciate the efforts of chemistry in bringing solutions to our national issues and hopefully we will attract funding from goverrnment and interest in persuing chemistry from the students especially girls who always rush to arts subjects.
