Dr. Ilemobayo Oguntimehin hails from Ondo State, Nigeria. He had initial background in Industrial Chemistry with Bachelor of Technology, degree (First Class honours) in 1997 and Master of Technology (2002) from the Federal University of Technology, Akure, Nigeria. As a Japanese government (Monbukagakusho) scholar, he studied Environmental Chemistry at the Department of Environmental Dynamics and Management, Hiroshima University, Japan where he bagged his PhD degree in Environmental Dynamics and Management in 2009. He specializes in all Biosphere interactions, but, with special focus on the fate and effects of some organic pollutants on higher plants. A lecturer at the Department of Chemistry, Federal University of Technology, Akure, he is currently a JSPS post-doctoral fellow in the graduate school of Biosphere Science, Hiroshima University, Japan. He has co-supervised many projects as well as co-authored a number of publications in his area of specialization. He is also affiliated to some professional bodies, such as the International Society of Food Agriculture and Environment, and Japan Society for Atmospheric Environment (JSAE). He is devoted to teaching and field research activities.
