About:

Belfast Metropolitant College offer a range of science courses at a variety of levels, including a Higher National Diploma in Applied Chemistry. We have a number of highly qualified chemists on our teaching staff, supported by a dedicated technical service.

We are preparing to move to new, purpose-buil accomodation in July 2011, and would like to launch our new laboratory facilities as part of a IYC 2011 programme. As an educational institution, our main emphasis is to encourage interest in chemistry at all levels, and we anticipate offering a range of refresher courses/lectures for teachers in the secondary sector, as well as public lectures on selected topics in contemporary chemistry. We are also considering a one-day Forensic Chemistry workshop for secondary school students.
