The Colloquium Spectroscopicum Internationale (CSI) is the most prestigious aspects of forum for the presentation and discussion of results in all branches of analytical Spectroscopy and Spectrometry. I am honored to the chairman of the prestigious event that, for the first time in its sixty year history, it will take place in Brazil in 2011.

The CSI has been a forum where scientists involved in all aspects of Spectroscopy and Spectrometry meet to share experiences, present new ideas, discuss results and applications and the presence of renowned scientists from around the world will give the largest possible number of Latin American scientists and students a chance to participate in high-level international conference.
