About:

Geonardo is taking part in the DIBANET project aiming to advance the development of second generation biofuel production in Europe and Latin America. The chemical research activities of DIBANET uniquely offer the possibility for transforming residues and wastes to diesel miscible biofuels through the combination of the ethanol produced from the sugar and the levulinic acid produced from the sugarcane bagasse. 13 partners from both regions are working together on the common goals in the 42 month long project coordinated by the University of Limerick and supported by the European Commission.
