The Teacher Scientist Network is a highly respected science education charity, that works with teachers and scientists to enhance the teaching of science in schools across Norfolk and North Suffolk. We support teachers in both primary and secondary education, and cover the whole range of science disciplines including chemistry. We make partnerships between scientists from across the Norwich Research Park, organise cpd for teachers and run lending library of science resources known as the Kit Club.
We wish to use the Year to raise the profile of chemistry in our region (which is somewhat Life Science dominated) and lacking a significant industrial component. Our Annual Meeting in October will have a Chemistry theme, and an upcoming Master Class will address the needs of chemistry members.
