About:

I have more than 40 years experience in Chemistry teaching, research and education . My research areas are Reaction Kinetics of Organic reactions,Catalysis and Environmental chemistry.In 2006 I received the Best Teacher Award from Chemical Research Society of India.

I am involved in the Indian Natioanal and International C hemistry Olympiad programs. As General Secretary of the Association of Chemistry Teachers, I coordinate the activities of the Association all over the country.The Association has organised several activities to celebrate IYC 2011 in the different regions of the country including the first ever International Conference on Education in Chemistry in Mumbai.I have planned the following activities in the near future as a part of IYC2011:1)National Seminar on New trends in Chemistry at Wilson College, Mumbai 2) All India Chemistry Essay Competition 3) Lecture series on 'Safety in the Chemistry Lab.' at Wilson College, Mumbai.
