About:

Dr. Muhammad Akhyar Farrukh completed his B.Sc (Hons) in Chemistry and M.Sc in Physical Chemistry and secured first class with first positions in both examinations. He has been duly awarded THREE GOLD MEDALS for his outstanding academic performance in the M.Sc final Chemistry examination 1999 of the University of Karachi and was declared the best student of the Faculty of Science, University of Karachi. He did his Ph.D in the field of Chemistry in 2003 and completed his first Postdoctoral research in 2007 in Brazil on a fellowship awarded by the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq), Brazil and the Academy of Sciences for the Developing World (TWAS), Italy and second postdoc in Malaysia in 2010 awarded by TWAS-USM. He has received other Awards/Shields/ Scholarships on his excellent academic record.

Research interest: Nanochemistry, catalysis, kinetics, environmental chemistry, surface chemistry
