We are writing to you representing the Museum of the Hellenic Nobel Collection, a museum that will soon open for the public, in the area of Halandri, Greece.
The Founder and President of the Museum, Professor Giorgio Marcou, has devoted the last 20 years of his life in the creation of a museum about Alfred Nobel and the Nobel Laureates. With an extensive collection of items about the Nobelists, Prof. Marcou systematically tries to promote the ideals and beliefs of Alfred Nobel and the Nobel Laureates.
The International Year of Chemistry is another opportunity for our Organisation to share the knowledge and publicize an extensive part of our collection that concerns the Nobel Laureates of Chemistry.
In an attempt to facilitate our collection, we are currently invited by the The National Hellenic Research Foundation (NHRF) to organize an exhibition about the Nobel Laureates of Chemistry (1901 - 2010). This exhibition will take place in February 2011 and will last for 30 days. The exhibits will comprise of Manuscripts, Letters, Pattents, Medals, Stamps, FDC and Photos of the Nobel Laureates.
Supplementary to the exhibition we will publish a special issue of our quarterly magazine ( http://www.news-museum-hellenic-nobel-collection.gr/ ) dedicated to the International Year of Chemistry, distributed (honoris causa) in 61 countries in 12.000 copies.
