The ISTA is the largest and most active subject association in Ireland. It affords you an opportunity for Continuing Professional Development.

As a member you will receive 3 issues of the SCIENCE journal each year which contains numerous articles of interest to science teachers and will help to keep you informed of developments in science education, new syllabi and methodologies etc. via website, email alerts or text messages. You will receive various circulars to keep you up to date with various events happening in your local branch and at national and international level and you will also be kept informed of all in-service events being organised by our association at local and national level.

Membership also entitles you to enter your students in various competitions such as the Annual Science Quizzes for both Junior and Senior Cycles and the ISTA PharmaChemical Awards for Science teachers.

Our 50th Annual Conference takes place in Trinity College, Dublin on April 20th-22nd 2012. Full details will be posted on the ISTA website.
