The Humanitare Institute aims to serve humanitarian causes, contribute to the preservation of the planet and future generations and bring together civil society organizations, academy and media in general to adopt these values together with the United Nations, in alignment with the Secretariat General. Our work is closely linked to that of the Organization and though the Institute is still in its final phase of consolidation, our history of bonding goes much further back in time. Our passion and compassion with the objectives and purposes of the international community comes from 10 years ago and more specifically since 2005 with the incentive from Mr. Kofi Annam himself.

We are organizing an International Conference and Corporative Panel commemorating the International Year of Biodiversity, which will take place on November 23, 2010, in São Paulo. Our intention is to launch the International Year of Chemistry agenda at the closing ceremony of the Conference on the International Year of Biodiversity.
