About:

I, Hasmik Mikayelyan, have graduated from the Yerevan State University getting Master's Degree of Chemistry.

I am a major specialist of Water Monitoring Sector of the Environmental Impact Monitoring Center at the Ministry of Nature Protection of the Republic of Armenia. Since 2005 I evaluate the persistent organochlorine pesticides in the surface waters, lake and reservoirs of Armenia. Starting in 2008, I am a PhD student in Yerevan State University at the Department of Ecology. My PhD project concern to monitoring and evaluation of organochlorine pesticides in transboundary rivers of Armenia and I have number of publication in this field.

I would like to intensify the contributions of women to science, to create international network for sustainable development in different sphere of chemistry, organize different activities such as lectures, workshops, seminars and training courses in international levels with international experts and try to find solution for actual problems (food, water, health, energy, transportation, and more).

I would like to have contribution in this difficult process and I strongly believe that international meetings will help to narrow the gape between developed and developing countries.
