The "Marie Curie Actions" is a European Union funding scheme for training and mobility opportunities for researchers throughout their career.

Since 2011 is the year of the 100th anniversary of Marie Curie's second Nobel prize and also the International Year of Chemistry, the Marie Curie Actions team at the European Commission would like to grasp that opportunity to publicize its activities, focusing on the example Marie Curie was for science (physics, chemistry and her multi disciplinary approach), research and gender equality.
