About:

I am an American volunteer missionary teaching English and Science to 7th, 8th, and 9th graders at Generation of Leaders School in Pacasmayo, Peru. My hope is to greatly expand the capabilities and resources (both in knowledge and equipment) for my students. Currently there is very little interest in chemistry. The room that houses the "lab" has no more then a candle used as a Bunsen burner, some ethyl alcohol, 7 test tubes, sodium chloride and 5 other chemicals, a 10x microscope, and 1 pack of litmus strips. If given a project to engage both the students and community at large I feel support for appropriate supplies could be more easily raised through donations or industry as well as inspire my students to become reactive to the world of chemistry.
