About:

I have a physicochemical educational background and have been conducting scientific research in the field of physical chemistry for over 30 years (having started already before my graduation in 1980 from the Dept. of Chemistry, Saratov State University). For the last 18 years, my interests were in the field of chemistry behind biological and environmental processes, biospectroscopy and its applications in various biology-related research areas.

In late 1992, I joined the Russian Academy of Sciences' Institute of Biochemistry and Physiology of Plants and Microorganisms (IBPPM RAS), Saratov, Russia. Currently I am a Professor, DSc (physical chemistry), and hold a Leading Scientist position at IBPPM RAS.

I am happy to have this profession and enjoy my work very much. I am sure that smart chemistry created and developed by smart people in different very broad areas can change the world to the better.
