The Faculty of Engineering & Technology has a long history which dates back to 1917 and has a glorious tradition of upholding high standards of engineering education, training and research in the field of Chemical Engineering, Chemical Technology, Petroleum and Gas Technology, Metallurgy and Materials Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Corrosion Science and Engineering. The Faculty has all along been alert to the present and future needs of engineers in the above fields. The academic and practical training programs are quite rigorous in character. For this reason a strong liaison exists between the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Industry and Research organizations in the country. The Faculty has highly qualified and experienced staff both for its morning and evening programs. It has always endeavored to procure and make available the most modern equipment and laboratory facilities the faculty is backed up by a fair claim to have one of the best technical libraries. It has a collection of about 33,000 volumes of books and journals, on all the subjects related to the curricula. The study programs include a B.Sc. (Engg.), an M.Sc. (Engg.), an M.Phil. and a Ph.D. Program.
