About:

The Chemical Institute of Canada (CIC) has taken the lead in Canada to bring together chemistry professionals to ensure that the IYC message is heard loud and clear. It has initiated the creation of a Canada-wide organizing committee, chaired by CIC past chair David Dolphin, O.C., FCIC. The committee comprises volunteers from academia, industry and trade associations, which include close partner Chemical Industry Association of Canada (CIAC, formerly CCPA). The CIC and IYC organizing committee will also reach out to science outreach organizations, science centers and museums, government agencies, trade associations to promote IYC and its activities.
