About:

History:

The Institute was founded in 1950 and incorporated as a company (without share capital). It can trace its earliest origins back to May 1922.

Aims:

To promote the interests of chemistry in all its branches, and to advance the science of chemistry in all its applications, including industry.

Activities:

The Institute organises lectures, seminars, congresses, workshops, newsletters and a journal titled Irish Chemical News of interest to all Irish chemists.

Membership:

Open to all chemists, chemical technicians and students of chemistry.

Membership Fee:

Varies according to grade.
