4-th International Conference on Photoinduced Phase Transitions and Cooperative Phenomena (PIPT4), will be held next year on the turn of June and July (28.06 – 02.07, 2011) in Wrocław, Poland, at Wrocław University of Technology.

A brief history of the PIPT conferences:

The 1st and 2nd International Conferences on Photo-Induced Phase Transitions (PIPT) were organized in 2001 by Professor Keichiro Nasu in Tsukuba (Japan) and then in 2005 by Professors Hervè Cailleau and Tadeusz Luty in Rennes (France). The 3-rd conference, which took place in Osaka (Japan) in 2008 has been organized by Professor Shin-ya Koshihara.

TOPICS for the 4-th PIPT: The Meeting, intended to review very recent achievements and inspire new challenges in the field of the Photoinduced Phase Transitions and Cooperative Phenomena, will focus on the following topics: 1. Directing transformation and functionality of materials by light, 2. Concepts and modeling, 3. Time-resolved techniques to study ultra-fast cooperative transformations.
