About:

The University of Antwerp aims to stimulate people’s interest in and appreciation for science, among which chemistry, by making it more accesible. Our activities are targeted towards the general public, youth (with a focus on older teenagers) and non-profit organisations. Teachers play a key role in the stimulation and development of young people’s interest in science.

One of our activities is the biannual Kekulé lecture cycle, which focuses on the importance of science (i.e. chemistry) for society. The University of Antwerp organises this cycle in co-operation with KVCV (The Royal Flemish Society of Chemistry).
