About:

According to the International Year of Chemistry (IYC) in 2011, the European Young Chemists Network (EYCN), the German JungChemikerForum (JCF) and the "Society for chemistry and economics" (VCW), the latter sections of the German Chemical Society (GDCh) decided to contribute to the IYC 2011 by offering a calendar, representing chemistry in life. Therefore, the organizers announced an international picture contest during March and June 2010. Twelve of overall more than 180 pictures have been awarded by a jury, containing the president of the GDCh and the chairpersons of EYCN, JCF and VCW. These pictures are included in the calendar, which can be purchased now. The winners will be awarded at the EuChMS Congress in Nuremberg in late August 2010. The benefit of the calendar will be spent on activities across of the contributing organizations during the year 2011. These activities will set the target on bringing chemistry to the public and show, that really everything is chemistry.

The calendar can be ordered at www.EYCN.eu
