About:

I am basically a Soil Scientist working as Assistant Professor of Soil Science at the Department of Soil Science, Sindh Agriculture University, Tandojam, Paksitan. I am working on various aspects of soil fertility and plant nutrition. Hence, my affiliation to the field of chemistry is very important, since the agricultural soil chemistry play inevitable role in determing the status of various nutrient elements in agroecosystem. I am specifically interested in the applications of chemistry in an integrated way with my knowledge of soil fertility, soil chemistry, crop nutrition, fertilizer application to soil, deficiency and toxicity of nutrient elements in soils and plants and their consequent impacts on ecosystem. My research is particularly focused on the integarted use of organic and inorganic fertilizers for sustainable crop production for food security under changing climatic conditions. Moreover, I am involved in doing research on the utilization of organic wastes as organic and biofertilizers for low-input, environment-friendly sustainable agriculture. I am interested to be an active part of IYC 2011 to enhance my understanding of chemistry and its roles in modern world through interaction with peers. And I am highly motivated to transfer this knowledge to my students enabling them play their effective role in various fields of chemistry.
